Try out for Fifth Beatle with WannaBeatles Featured
A solo musical artist can vie for the opportunity to "twist and shout" with The WannaBeatles at the Renaissance Center by entering the "Fifth Beatle Competition."
The lucky winner will perform at the "February 9th Ed Sullivan-Beatles Anniversary Concert" and receive a free three-hour recording session courtesy of Dennis Scott Productions. The WannaBeatles will help commemorate the 47th anniversary of the Beatles' 1964 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" with a fun-filled concert from 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 9 (Wednesday) at the Renaissance Center, 855 Highway 46 S. in Dickson.
To be considered for the "fifth Beatle" appearance, artists must post a video performance of a Beatles song, 1960s oldie, or special talent to the YouTube.com web site no later than Jan. 31, 2011. The winning artist will be announced on Feb. 1.
The Beatles made history when they were introduced to 73 million viewers on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
The WannaBeatles will help relive the milestone by performing live to several of the band's video clips. The competition and event are sponsored by 105.9-FM The Rock, CPA Consulting Group, Matchless Transportation, The Geek in the Jeep, and Whiting Publicity & Promotions.
