The Armory Gun Shop in Lebanon to Host Open House, Gun Safety Overview on May 15

After the success and positive feedback from the first community day, The Armory, Lebanon's premier high-end gun shop, is hosting a second open house gun safety community weekend, offering free hot dogs and refreshments to those who come in between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. (or while supplies last) on Saturday, May 15.

Customers and non-gun owners alike are welcome to the event.

Families, ladies, youth and non-experienced shooters are encouraged to come by the store and receive a free mini gun safety overview from the experienced staff. Those who may never have held a gun before can come and do so in a very safe, non-loaded situation and learn the basics of handgun safety. (Safety mini-lessons will be offered all day, but hot dogs and refreshments are until 3 p.m. or while supplies last).

Along with providing refreshments, The Armory can schedule people for more in-depth handgun safety classes and concealed permit qualification classes. This event is to help spread awareness about handgun safety, local laws and rights and responsible gun ownership, as well as to continue strengthening The Armory's ties with the local community.

The Armory is located at 628 South Cumberland Street in Lebanon, across from Wal-Mart.

More information on the event and The Armory can be found at www.thearmorytn.com or by calling the shop between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 615-257-0606.

The Armory is Lebanon's first high-end gun shop and has been open since November 2009. The shop specializes in tactical rifles, field carry pistols and personal defensive weapons, accessories and reloading supplies for the serious, professional and recreational shooter. The shop features an open floor plan and a large assortment of firearms on display, not behind restrictive glass cases, but out where they can be handled and viewed by customers. The staff is highly knowledgeable about each item in the store, willing and ready to offer tips about shooting, reloading and the sport in general and able to place special orders with various distributors. The store also carries tactical equipment for law enforcement officers, to include the Lebanon Police and the Wilson County Sheriff's Departments, along with their specialized items like the Lebanon S.W.A.T. Team and Wilson County's Special Response Team.
